Dark Thoughts, About Darker Water

(2016)

In February and March 2016 we spent two months as artists in residence at Grand Union, a gallery and studio space in Birmingham, England.

While in residence we researched The Grand Union Canal - learning about it's history, contemporary uses, and certain future. The canal water and the historic exploitation of the canal horse played an important role in our research. Both became strong metaphors for the social and spatial shifts occurring in Digbeth.
